Coincidentia oppositorum

Coincidentia oppositorum

Artur Przybysławski, Coincidentia oppositorum, Wydawnictwo słowo / obraz terytoria, Gdańsk 2004.

Thales and Heraclitus. They are so fascinating since their thought precedes and transcends a classical model of European philosophy. It is so great because how long one can read the same story? What is more sad than the idea that all European philosophy is only a footnote to Plato (or Aristotle as some want to put him here)? This is diagnosis of more than two thousand years of boredom of constant repetition! Luckily Thales and Heraclitus – contrary to traditional interpretations – tell a completely different story!
