Evolution, Transformation, Progress – Cultural, Philosophical and Social Changes in XXI Century

On June 19th 2016, the countrywide student-doctoral conference Evolution, Transformation, Progress – Cultural, Philosophical and Social Changes in XXI Century took place in Cracow, Poland. This interdisciplinary event gathered students and doctoral students from Jagiellonian University, University of Lodz, National Defence University and SWPS University in Wroclaw, whose papers focused on the conception of change in the contemporary science and humanities. Points of interest covered broad array of topics, such as: experimental philosophy, current social situation in Japan and Middle East, political strategies of Korea, Russia and Baltic states. Discussions revolved around such topics as usage of high-developed technologies in academic research and art, transhumanism, violence in the Internet and 3D printers usage in social and cultural fields. The conference made its mark as a mind-broadening possibility to debate, exchange ideas and has been very well received by both the speakers and the audience.
