Panel meeting, 21st November 2011, Collegium Novum, Senate Hall
The Centre for the Comparative Studies of Civilisations organised a second edition of the panel meeting "Engaging Iran" (the first took place in 2008). The event was focused around the situation in Iran – several papers were presented (concerning: Polish-Iranian relations, the problem of religious minorities, Iranian nationalism) and a discussion ensued. A few experts from the Jagiellonian University were invited to participate. Among the main guests appeared: Prof. Anna Krasnowolska (the Head of the Department of Iranian Studies) and Samad Ali Lakizadeh (the ambassador of Iran in Poland) who presented a speech about the future situation of Iran. The meeting was moderated by Dr. Marek Moroń.
