Engaging Iran

The panel meeting was held under the auspices of Poland-Asia XXI Century Foundation and the Centre for the Comparative Studies of Civilisations. The meeting was opened by Prof. Andrzej Flis, whereas the discussion was moderated by Dr. Marek Moroń (the general consul in Mumbai and the founder of the Poland-Asia XXI Century Foundation). Among the main guests appeared: Prof. Anna Krasnowolska and Dr. Marek Smurzyński. The main purpose of the panel was to discuss the international situation of Iran after the relatively recent overthrow of the government of Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddeq and the Islamic revolution in 1979. The Iranian perspective on the events was supported in order to supplement those of  America or Europe.
