Exclusion

17th-18th December 2009

Krupnicza 33 Street, Auditorium Maximum, Exhibition Hall

The Conference was organised by the Students Research Group of the Comparative Studies of Civilisations and the Laboratory of the Border Questions (affiliated by the Adam Mickiewicz University). The meeting revolved around the multidimensional and multifaceted problem of exclusion. The main purpose of the conference was to elaborate on which individuals or social groups are particularly affected by exclusion, in which cultural context this phenomenon occurs and what the origins are (axiological, mythological, social). Within the scope of considerations was also the question about the functions and consequences of exclusion in the broader framework.

The present conference accompanied the art exhibition of Marcin Bondarowicz titled "Social Exclusion"
