Graduated in Arabic Studies from the Faculty of Oriental Studies and History from the Faculty of History at the University of Warsaw. He earned his PhD in 2024 with a dissertation titled The Separation of Oman and Zanzibar after 1856: British Imperial Policy, Two Arab States, and Their Elites. His research focuses on the history of the Middle East in the 19th and 20th centuries, with a particular emphasis on Oman’s connections with East Africa.

  • political and social history of the Middle East in the 19th and 20th centuries
  • Ibadi Islam;
  • Arab communities in East Africa;
  • migration and networks of ties in the Indian Ocean World;
  • European colonialism.
