Graduated in Indian Philology (MA 2002) and Art History (MA 2005), Jagiellonian University. Completed PhD studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Nicolaus Copernicus University (2012) and Psychology at SWPS University (MA 2022). Conducts language courses or classes discussing cultural phenomena of the Indian subcontinent, mainly in visual culture. Trains cross-cultural competences, runs workshops preparing for work in a multicultural environment.

Academic interests

  • socio-cultural and religious aspects of artistic patronage in India;
  • beliefs and cultural narratives related to supernatural beings in the religious traditions of the Indian subcontinent;
  • psychology and intercultural communication.

  • 2016-2023 - project for the habilitation degree: Abundance and Fertility. Representations Associated with Child Protection in the Visual Culture of Ancient India – completed;
  • 2014-2018 - main contractor in the National Science Centre project: Birla mandirs - the contemporary Hindu temple complexes as an example of modernization by going back to tradition, Opus 5, UMO-2013/09/B/HS1/02005 – completed.

  • scholarship of De Brzezie Lanckoronski Foundation in London, in 2008.
