Graduate of the Faculty of Management and Social Communication at the Jagiellonian University, Institute of Audiovisual Arts, majoring in cultural studies-film studies. She obtained her doctoral degree in art sciences. She studied cultural studies with a specialisation in Far Eastern studies at the Institute of the Institute of the Middle and Far East  at the Faculty of International and Political Studies, Jagiellonian University. As part of a government scholarship, she studied Chinese language and culture at Zhejiang University in the People's Republic of China.

Academic interests

  • popular culture as a political and cultural tool;
  • cinema of East Asia, especially China and Japan;
  • tradition and contemporary;
  • nationalism in popular culture;
  • social history.
